Refining Mills Model 520

The model 520 peg type pulverizer mill is used to fine-grind various materials and minerals of soft or semi-hard nature (Mohs hardness from 2 to 4).
It grinds by impact at high speed, achieving medium throughput (up to 5 tonnes per hour); product size is achieved by a perforated plate screen on the outside of the rotor.
Crushed product is discharged by gravity.
Grinding occurs in various stages: product entering is impacted against various rows of rotating pegs, meshing with the same number of rows of fixed pegs.
The technical features and the throughput achieved make the refining mill particularly suited to refining plaster of Paris to the product size required by market demands.

Excellent for pulverizing and refining soft and semi-hard dry materials with extreme finenesses.

  • CASE AND STAND: high-resistance cast iron.
  • SHAFT: made of high-grade steel, on monobloc supports with ball bearings – excellent protection against dust.
  • ROTOR: made of two separate parts – special tough and wear-resistant cast steel. External milling teeth – internal grinding teeth.
  • GRINDING STATORS: fixed on to the door in independent concentric rings.
  • GRATE: may be removed and replaced very easily – made of bored steel plate with appropriate bores and thicknesses – mounted on a stiffening frame.
  • VIBRATING SCREEN: sieves the material fed in to eliminate any foreign bodies that may cause damage to the mill, such as ferrous parts.
