Bucket elevators

Features

Bucket Elevators with centrifugal unloading

These operate at a speed of approximately 1 m/second and are suitable for dredge loading and unloading by direct launch of the material. In the case of calibrated chains, the pulleys are made in one piece or can be disassembled, with an outer wear ring made of spheroidal cast iron, mounted in 2/2 for easy replacement. Special and tested systems of casehardening ensure long life for the chains even with abrasive materials. With buckets on a rubber belt, they can be used for smooth or splined convex drumheads with metallic or rubber surfaces. At the foot, drums with arch bars, smooth or with inner emptying cones can be used.

Bucket Elevators with continuous buckets

These elevators operate at low speeds and therefore they are particularly suitable for all cases where the material must not be disturbed by shocks, dredging impacts or launching on discharge; they are recommended to lift up very light and very fine materials which would otherwise be dispersed in the draught created by the buckets; they are the obligatory choice for very hard materials, such as the glass refuse from furnaces because their relatively slow parts suffer less from wear. Loading is directly into the buckets, discharge is by sliding the material on to the back of the previous bucket and subsequently falling into the mouth outlet. The buckets can be made of iron, aluminium, stainless steel or PVC and mounted on chains or belts.

Bucket Elevators with central unloading

These have the particularity of discharging the material by gravity at the centre of the head of the elevator. The bucket is completely overturned without switch rollers, the special design of the buckets allows even difficult, sticky, light and volatile materials to be discharged. Thanks to their remarkable dimension, they are suitable for strong loads, but always combining a great uniformity of operation.
